"Kumar, Founder & Principal Writer, RS Resume Solution"

About Kumar

For 20 years, I managed hospitality and food service projects across Asia — from initial concept through to final handover. I started as a Project Coordinator in 1992 and finished as Senior Project Manager in 2012, working on projects worth millions of dollars where a single miscommunication between consultants could cost tens of thousands in delays.

My job was translating what a client needed into something a room full of specialists — architects, engineers, interior designers, cost consultants — could actually execute without working against each other.

Resume writing is the same discipline, pointed at a different problem.

Why this background matters to you

A resume is a scoping document. It has to take a complicated career and structure it so a reader — a hiring manager with six seconds and a stack of other resumes — understands the value immediately, without having to work for it.

That's what I spent two decades doing for a living: making sure the right information reached the right person, stripped of everything that didn't matter.

The business

I started RS Resume Solution in 2014, initially alongside my project management work. I'd noticed the same problem in friends' and colleagues' resumes that I saw in badly scoped projects: good work, described so poorly that nobody outside the person's head could see what it was worth.

Since then, I've written resumes for professionals across industries and career stages — from fresh graduates to senior executives repositioning for their next move.

I'm not a career coach who added resume writing as a sideline. I spent 20 years being the person accountable when a complex project needed to hold together under pressure. Now I bring that same precision to your career story.
